Our schools in Rotherham are seeking enthusiastic Sports Coaches to join our team immediately, where you can make a real difference by promoting health, fitness, and personal development in students.

As a Sports Coach, you will play a vital role in nurturing students' physical abilities while instilling values such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience. The Role: As a Sports Coach, you will work closely with students to enhance their physical fitness, skills, and overall enjoyment of sports. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Personalised Coaching: Provide tailored coaching sessions that cater to individual student needs, helping them to develop their athletic skills and confidence.
  • Team Building: Foster teamwork and cooperation through group sports activities, encouraging positive interaction and collaboration among students.
  • Physical Development: Promote physical health and fitness, encouraging students to lead active, healthy lifestyles both in and out of school.
  • Positive Behaviour Reinforcement: Use sports as a medium to promote discipline, perseverance, and respect, ensuring a positive impact on students' behaviour and attitudes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and school staff to integrate sports into the overall educational experience, supporting students' physical and emotional development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Sports Coach or in a similar role, particularly working with young people.
  • A passion for physical education and a genuine desire to help students improve their fitness, teamwork, and personal skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
  • Experience with behaviour management techniques is desirable. Team Teach training is preferred, but not essential, and we offer Team Teach training free of charge to successful candidates.
