A lovely 2 form entry Primary School in the North Somerset area is currently seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September on a Part-Time basis. This school is part of a Large Academy Trust who pride themselves on being able to provide an adaptable curriculum to support each child individually. They are a school which offers a lot of professional development for their staff, including courses and a supportive SMT team.

The Role

The Head Teacher is looking for someone who is eager to join the team and support, encourage and develop the children around you. The successful candidate will be joining the Year 1 team and should show full understanding of the KS1 curriculum and have a desire to work closely with families from diverse backgrounds.

You will be expected to:

  • Have great knowledge of Phonics and the screening test.
  • Ability to assess children's knowledge and development.
  • Plan engaging and exciting activities to attract children to their learning.
  • Be confident with differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all children.
  • Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the children.
