Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are working in partnership with a wonderful Primary School in the BS37 area of South Gloucestershire. The school is seeking a Year 6 Teacher to join them as soon as possible on a fixed term contract.

You will be joining a 2 form entry Primary School who aim to provide a rich and varied curriculum so that pupils of all abilities are able to achieve their best potential in a safe, and friendly environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will be joining on a Full-Time basis to cover MAT leave. You will be expected to work collaboratively with other Class Teachers and plan lessons to an exceptional standard, assess the children's understanding and progress to adapt future learning to meet the needs of each pupil in the class. You will be expected to:

  • Ability to assess children’s knowledge and development.
  • Deliver engaging and exciting activities to attract children to their learning.
  • Work closely with the class TA to support individual children.
  • Be confident with differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all children.
  • Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the children.
  • Use your initiative to challenge children’s learning.
