Forest school experience is essential. Qualifications are essential. £110 - £120 daily rate.
This school has a long-standing reputation for their high standards and expectations, which underpin every aspect of school life. High standards and expectations refer to academics but also to their deep-rooted belief that every child deserves the chance to receive excellent education catered to their needs.
The teachers, support staff, and students make a huge effort to foster a community feeling where everyone can thrive in a supportive and ambitious environment. The grounds and resources this school provides are superb, having access to large outdoor spaces used to provide Forest School classes for their students.
In this role, you will be supporting Forest School - active, outdoors learning catered to students who have SEN, SEMH needs and require extra support and an alternative learning environment. Lessons will involve a range of subject matters including numeracy and literacy with a big focus on student engagement and ensuring the students are able to understand and enjoy their learning - the way they were potentially unable to in a mainstream classroom.
We need an experienced Forest School educator ready to step into their role immediately with a proactive and positive approach. A deep understanding of SEN and SEMH needs is essential as the majority of pupils in Forest School need to be adequately supported and need that extra support to be re-engaged with their learning.
