Long Term Teachers is on a hunt for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team and help out across schools in Swindon, starting their full-time role immediately. In this role, as a HLTA you will be stepping into schools and helping the pastoral team to manage student behaviours and in particular leading student interventions.
This role will require you to work across a range of schools in Swindon, supporting students who need extra guidance. You will work closely with students 1 to 1 and in small groups, and be backed by learning mentors, pastoral and teaching staff. Success in this role is measured both by academic progress and personal growth in pupils.
If you have experience working in pastoral roles, and a solid understanding of issues that may be affecting students whether they are social, emotional or mental health issues, this is an ideal role for you. We need a patient, understanding and resilient person to flourish in this role and help students across Swindon.
