A Secondary School in Swindon is looking for a Drama Teacher to join their team and start their full time role immediately!
In this role as Drama teacher you will be responsible for guiding both practical and theoretical parts of the Drama curriculum and preparing students for their GCSE examinations. This role will involve planning lessons and activities as well as marking student’s work therefore knowledge and understanding of the UK curriculum for KS3 and KS4 will be a necessity.
We need an enthusiastic, bubbly educator who can build quick rapport with teenagers ready to perform like it’s their opening night of a Broadway play every time they step in front of their class and help their students achieve the same.
Teaching students a range of topics from stage presence, physical movement, character interpretation will help them develop their acting skills and other topics such as stage design, costume design, lighting and sound will give them a deeper understanding of how theatre functions and how they can contribute to the world of performing arts.
A massive part of theatre and this role will be to instill the values of teamwork, confidence and analytical skills into your students.
