A Primary School in Central Bristol is currently seeking a Qualified Teacher to work within their inclusion room on a Part-Time basis (2-3 days). You will be working collaboratively with another Class Teacher, closely with children with ASD and Non-Verbal needs. This three form entry school has highly experienced teachers and staff committed to providing a nurturing environment for all children to succeed.
The Role
In this position, you will be working as a Class Teacher on a Part-time basis. Understanding the needs of each child is key for this role, using prior knowledge of the Primary and EYFS curriculum to adapt and differentiate activities to meet their needs and ensure they are able to engage and meet their goals.
The Head Teacher is ideally looking for a Qualified Teacher who has prior experience working in an SEN school or who has had a classroom with high SEN within it. You should have a real understanding of differentiation, EHCPs, and how to collaborate with a team of LSAs to deliver group activities as well as individual work.
You will be expected to:
- Assess children’s engagement and their personal development
- Set new goals for the children
- Set boundaries, be caring but have fun with it
- Bring prior experience to the table and work collaboratively with the other Class Teacher
