Here at Long Term Teachers we are working with a dynamic and welcoming primary school situated in the rural town of Honiton. The school is committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where every child can achieve their full potential. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team as soon as possible.
As a Teaching Assistant you will assist the teachers in delivering and planning lessons. Provide support to the students in both small groups and 1-1. As well as helping academically in the classroom, there will also be a big requirement to support the students social and emotional development. Being able to be pro-active and think on your feet is key, as you make sure all preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources are complete ahead of time.
Relevant experience and qualifications in a similar role are desirable, however, an understanding of supporting and working with children in another capacity would be very transferable. The right candidate will have a genuine desire for working with children and supporting them through their educational journey. You should posses a positive attitude, patience and empathy. An understanding and commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children must be paramount.
