A wonderful Primary School in the BS4 area of South Bristol are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistants to work within a classroom environment supporting with some EAL and SEND children. This school believes that every child deserves an excellent education, every day, in a school where they feel happy, safe, valued and excited to learn. They are passionate about every pupil to flourish, both academically and personally, developing the knowledge, confidence and character.
The Role
These roles start at the beginning of Term 1 on a full-time basis. Working within a classroom setting, you will be supporting the Class Teacher with the children who demonstrate SEND and EAL needs.
We are looking for someone who has had experience working with children in a classroom setting, someone who has knowledge of the Primary curriculum and can support with adaptation of misconceptions. You will be expected to:
- Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to assess children's development.
- Have prior experience working with children or in a school environment.
- Opportunity to work 1:1 with SEND children. Use your knowledge and relationship to understand what the child may need.
- Support with emotional and social development.
