Do you want to play a pivotal role in preparing young people for adulthood?, Long-Term Teachers are recruiting a dedicated and learning support assistant to work with post-16 students who have Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). This rewarding role offers the chance to make a real difference by helping young people achieve greater independence and build brighter futures. This is a truly unique role as all learning is done out in the community., As a learning support assistant, you’ll work closely with a student on a 1:1 basis in diverse community settings, including learning hubs, libraries, workplaces and leisure facilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting your student to develop practical life skills tailored to their individual needs

  • Delivering accredited learning based on a personalised curriculum

  • Assessing student progress and celebrating their achievements

  • Travelling alongside students to various community-based locations, ensuring their learning takes place in meaningful, real-world environments, You will be working Monday to Friday, term time only. Working hours are 9am – 4:30pm.
