Learning Mentor – Plymouth – £100–£110/day – Temp to Perm – Start ASAP

A specialist school in Plymouth is seeking a full-time Learning Mentor to join their team ASAP. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, working Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30.

Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people\’s lives?

We support students aged 5–16 who have been excluded from mainstream education, many with EHCPs, SEMH needs, or other SEN. Our approach is different — small class sizes, 1:1 support, and a strong focus on Learning Outside the Classroom (LOTC). Think beaches, woodlands, trampoline parks, aquariums — learning that re-engages students and gives them purpose.

Essential criteria

  • Experience in care, youth work, sports coaching, SEN/mainstream schools, or similar
  • A full UK driving licence, access to your own car, and willingness to get business insurance (45p per mile reimbursed for student transport)
  • A passion for transforming lives and building strong relationships
