Are you someone who has a passion for supporting children with SEMH needs? I am working closely with a wonderful Primary School in the BS22 area of Weston-Super-Mare who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support children with SEMH needs. This school is a wonderful place for children who come from difficult backgrounds as they provide incredible support with an inclusive environment and curriculum, allowing all children to access and develop their learning at their own pace.
Role Overview: This is a great opportunity for someone with prior experience working with SEMH. Whether it be in a school environment or elsewhere, we would be interested to speak with you. This is a full-time opportunity, where the Head Teacher is looking for someone with a calm and nurturing presence, someone who has a great understanding of adapting activities to meet children’s needs.
You will need the ability to:
- Communicate clearly with the SENCO and other members of staff.
- Use your initiative to support children with varied abilities and needs.
- Be able to provide a safe and calming environment.
