KS1 Teacher North Somerset Full-Time September Start
Are you a Newly Qualified or Experienced Teacher looking for a new position? A rather large Primary School in the North Somerset area is looking for a KS1 Teacher to join their team from September covering Maternity. This 3 form entry Primary School is part of a small Trust which offers staff great professional development and opportunities across the other schools in the area. Their Values include working together and respecting one another to provide an inclusive learning environment for children and their community.
The Role
As a successful candidate, you will have strong Phonics and Spelling skills knowledge to ensure smooth transition throughout KS1. As you will be joining a large school, the Head Teacher is also looking for someone who is a great team player, with great communication skills to support with planning, assessment, trips and other extracurricular activities. You will be expected to:
- Differentiate and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all children.
- Communicate effectively with other Class Teachers.
- Work closely with the class Teaching Assistant to provide the best support for SEND children.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support home learning.
- Assess children’s progress and develop future lessons.
- Build on pupil’s learning gaps by challenging and encouraging their development.
