A very exciting opportunity is currently waiting for you to join an excellent secondary school in the heart of Yeovil as the Head of DT. The role is full time and offers an excellent chance to step into a leadership role and develop your career. Along with teaching the full DT curriculum, you will be leading the DT team, managing staff, liaising with SLT and stakeholders, and representing the school and department to parents.
The perfect teacher will:
- Go above and beyond to ensure every child is actively involved in the learning process and benefits from the knowledge and skills you have to offer.
- Bring your subject to life!
- Be flexible and adaptable, to ensure they tailor their teaching style and respond effectively to a range of student behaviours.
- Communicate effectively to build a cohesive relationship with other teachers and members of staff and ensure a trusting and insightful relationship with students.
A candidate 'Must Have':
- An enhanced DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this!)
- Eligibility to work in the UK (No Sponsorships Provided)
- Experience in a Design Technology Teaching job and have a QTS
- The ability to teach up to KS4.
