Special school for SEMH students, mostly 1-1 support. Immediate start for KS3 students. We work on behalf of a fantastic specialist setting that provides an alternative to mainstream schools, looking after students with Social, Emotional Mental Health needs and ASD. The school is growing in numbers term by term, so they are in need of candidates looking for work in a specialist setting.

The role of Learning Mentor is essential in these children's development into young adults. You will be expected to provide individualised support to the students in their educational and personal development. You will be supporting students across a range of different subjects, but it is not essential that you are a particular subject specialist. Due to the needs of the students, it is vital that you have worked with SEMH students before and feel confident in managing challenging behaviour. A few of these students also have fairly complex ASD, so experience in this area is a bonus!
