Are you a University Student looking for extra work? Have you had experience working with children? Here at Long-Term Teachers, we have a range of opportunities available for you around Bristol. From Full-Time to Part-Time work, flexible to work around your university course.

Schools in the Bristol and South Gloucestershire area are currently seeking Teaching Assistants on a long-term basis to support with general TA cover and also SEN support.

The Role

Schools are looking for candidates who are empathetic and patient, working with the class teacher to support the pupils learn and develop at their own pace. You will be expected to use your own initiative to develop activities to meet the children's needs but to also challenge them to enrich their learning and knowledge.

You will be expected to:

  • Be patient, creative and energetic.
  • Be willing to learn and develop professionally.
  • Be flexible and use your own initiative when supporting children.
  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and other EYFS staff.
  • Communicate clearly the development and progression of the child's ability.
