Here at Long-Term Teachers, we have seen an increased need for local Teaching Assistants in a Primary School in Weston-Super-Mare for day-to-day and long-term supply. We work with a number of schools across North Somerset, covering the areas of Weston-Super-Mare, Portishead, Bridgewater, Nailsea, Long Ashton, Chew Stoke and all the in between! This means as a Teaching Assistant working with us, you will have work in your local area covering schools that only you want to work in, which allows you to build relationships with schools in the area whilst retaining work flexibility.
The Role
We are currently recruiting for Full-Time and Part-Time Teaching Assistants to join the team on a supply basis. We are seeking candidates with previous experience working with children who can be flexible across different schools working on a full-time basis as the schools need consistency so their pupils can build strong relationships. We are looking for exceptional people to work with exceptional pupils, people who thrive on working in a challenging but immensely rewarding environment.
- Be passionate about supporting the development of social, life and independence skills.
- Work in small groups or 1:1 with SEND children.
- Build trusting relationships with children to motivate and encourage their learning.
- Support Class Teachers with lessons and activities.
