A 1 form entry Primary School in the BS10 area of North Bristol is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their energetic and friendly Reception Class.

This school is a place to inspire children to achieve their full potential, somewhere that works closely with families and the community to remove barriers to learning to help children to grow a love for learning.

This Primary School is part of a large Trust who have a number of Primary Schools across Bristol. This is a great opportunity for you as you have the chance to share knowledge and training with a number of staff members.

The Role

This is a Full-Time opportunity for someone ideally with experience of working within an EYFS setting.

As a successful candidate, you will be joining the Reception class, working closely with the Class Teacher and other staff members to create a safe and engaging environment for children to use their imagination and creativity to learn and develop.

You will be expected to:

  • Have knowledge of EYFS settings.
  • Be patient, creative and energetic.
  • Work with small groups and with children on a 1 to 1 basis.
  • Be willing to learn and take guidance from each staff member.
  • Be flexible and use your own initiative when supporting children.
  • Communicate clearly the development and progression of the child’s ability.
