Long Term Teachers is on a hunt for an aspiring teacher to join our team as a Cover Supervisor to help in Secondary schools in Yeovil. We offer flexible placements and can work around your schedule. If you are ready to dip your toe into the world of education without committing to one particular subject this is the role for you.
Every day will be an exciting new challenge as you will be teaching a wide range of subjects from PE, to English and Science across schools in Yeovil. This is a lovely way to develop your own teaching skills and learn more about what it is that you love to teach.
This is a great opportunity for an aspiring teacher or graduate who enjoys working with young people and wants to gain real classroom experience. You’ll be stepping in to deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and keep students engaged while their usual teacher is away. Planning and marking will not be a part of this role however the ability to build quick rapport with students and establish authority without being heavy handed is necessary.
