Here at Long-Term Teachers we have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant with prior experience working with SEN or Challenging Behaviour to join an inclusive and diverse Primary School in the BS2 area of Bristol. This 2 form entry school is very proud of how dedicated and wonderful their staff and pupils are. This school is passionate about providing an inclusive curriculum for their students, working in a resource based classroom, there is an enthusiasm for adapting education to meet the needs of individual pupils.

The Role

This role is to start as soon as possible. You will be joining a KS2 classroom to support across the year but also work closely with individual children and small groups. We are looking for someone to put children and their learning at the center of their work, someone who can use their initiative to adapt activities and be flexible to work with a variety of needs throughout the room.

You will be expected to:

  • Have prior experience working with SEND.
  • Deliver engaging activities and lessons.
  • Be confident with differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all children.
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher to adapt and set out activities to engage children in their learning.
  • Work closely with the other members of staff.
