I am working on behalf of some lovely Primary Schools located in the Trowbridge and surrounding areas looking for engaging and dedicated supply teachers. Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking 1:1 TA, you will be instrumental in providing tailored support to a specific student, helping them navigate their school day effectively and transition easily between SEND and mainstream schooling.

Responsibilities:

• Adapting lesson materials, making them accessible to pupils.

• Providing one to one support during class.

• Reinforcing learning objectives set by the teacher.

• Assisting with literacy and numerical tasks breaking them down into more manageable steps.

• Understanding the individual needs of pupils to best support them in class.

• Helping pupils transition between the resource base and mainstream schooling.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with SEND children.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with the pupil, parents and colleagues effectively.

• Patience, empathy and resilience to meet the diverse needs of students.

• Relevant qualifications and training in supporting children with SEND.

• An understanding of relevant safe guarding and child protection procedures.

• Driving Licence
