Are you a passionate, knowledgeable and skilful teacher looking to inspire and support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Heath (SEMH) needs and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Do you believe in creating a nurturing and structured environment where every child can thrive?

We are looking for a Teacher who can create and delivers engaging lessons to diverse groups of students at all levels. A teacher who promotes enthusiasm for learning and for subjects. Someone who adheres to national curriculum standards and maintains classroom order in an effective manner. Collects and reports on correct and detailed records of student performance.

The Special Partnership Trust are an extraordinary education Trust who are redefining Special Educational Needs in the Southwest. They are openiong a new school located very closely to the A30/A38. This school will be research focussed, innovative and aspirational in its practice where the development of pupils’ SEMH skills are at the centre of our work.

Your role will include:

  • Planning and teaching

  • Assessing following the school marking policy

  • Promoting good progress and outcomes

  • Adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils

  • Managing behaviour effectively

  • Demonstrating good curriculum knowledge

  • Liaising with parents

Requirements for the role include being a committed and talented teacher who is able to promote the schools ethos and values. The school is looking for someone who is a caring and nurturing person, adaptable and flexible with your methods as well as resilient and patient with challenging behaviors.
