Job Description

SEMH Tutor

  • Brand new specialist setting
  • SEMH students aged 6-19
  • Tutoring in various subjects
  • 8:30am – 3:15pm
  • Full-time/Long-term

This fantastic setting support children and young people who experience difficulties associated with social, emotional and mental health development. Their students may also have additional developmental needs, including autism that impact upon their emotional health and wellbeing and create barriers to learning.

They're an alternative "all-through" provision which provides educational placements for children and young people that can’tbe accommodated in mainstream or special school provisions. They educate students 1-1, or in small groups which helps them to develop positive relationships and build confidence.?

The role

They have a main site based not far from Bridgwater but from September will be opening a brand new site in Bridgwater! They will be looking for new Tutors to join the site on a full-time basis. They are open to applications from educators able to tutor EYFS to GCSE Higher level.

Due to the needs of the students it is imperative that you have experience of working with SEMH in the past and have a genuine interest in mental health. Ideally you would hold some form of teaching qualification but the school are open to a range of applications.
