We are working closely with a fantastic special school based on the outskirts of Bath that is looking for an HLTA to join the team in providing support across the school. The school looks after a range of special needs but is primarily an SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) environment.
The role of HLTA is incredibly varied. Your responsibilities will be mixed between providing cover in leading pre-planned lessons as well as providing support as a TA with general classroom support. You will essentially be used as the school's all-rounder!
Due to the nature of the role, it is essential you are adaptable, proactive, confident, enthusiastic and feel confident in leading classes. As the needs of the students are SEMH, it is essential you feel confident in dealing with challenging behaviour and have worked with special needs in some capacity.
