Long-term Teachers is working closely with a Secondary School located in the beautiful English Riviera, Torquay. The school is committed to providing a supportive and stimulating learning environment for our students, encouraging them to achieve their full potential.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join the school from April. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching A-level Maths depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Support students in their learning journey, fostering a positive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share teaching strategies.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary school level.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching GCSE-level Mathematics.
  • Familiarity with current educational practices and methodologies.
