Key Stage 4 Teaching Assistant Full time Based in Gloucester Term time only Long – Term Teachers are working with an alternative provision based in Gloucester , who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teaching assistant to join them on a full time, permanent basis . You will be supporting students in Key stage 4, who have been permanently excluded from their mainstream school. The work is challenging but incredibly rewarding as you will be a part of helping young people move successfully into the next step of their education journey… You will predominantly be offering classroom support, however there will be regular opportunities to offer 1:1 support. Other duties will include support the teacher to deliver effective lessons through using appropriate strategies to engage students in learning activities. You will be providing appropriate support to students to help them manage their behaviour, including out of class if necessary. Outside of the classroom, you will be monitoring breaktime duty and have the opportunity to go on school trips and after school clubs.
