This opportunity is a great chance for someone who wants to work on a full-time basis as a Teaching Assistant from April in a Year 3 class. A family feel Primary School situated in South Gloucestershire is currently seeking an energetic TA to join their diverse, strong community and friendly team of staff. This school holds high expectations for all their students and seeks the most inspirational staff to provide the best learning experience.

The Role

This is a full-time position working term time only. You will be expected to work on a 1 to 1 basis with an SEN pupil in their KS2 class, working closely with the pupil and class teacher to develop their educational and social skills. The Head Teacher is looking for a positive and creative team player who can work closely with the Class Teacher to resource and adapt activities to support individual learning. You will need to bring a confident, calm and consistent manner to the environment.

You will be expected to:

  • Hold high expectations for children's development.
  • Have great experience in positive behaviour management.
  • Communicate clearly with the Class Teacher when assessing children’s development.
  • Create a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively to support interventions.
