I am currently working on behalf of an established secondary school based in Yate that is looking for a Science specialist. Whether you are a chemist, biologist or physicist, the school needs a passionate person to join the Science department and lead classes across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role is full time so is perfect for an ECT who is just starting their journey as a teacher and is looking for an opportunity to develop their skills and fully complete their qualifications. However, it is also a great opportunity for an experienced teacher or lecturer, who adores teaching and working with children and has at least 1 year experience in the UK educational system.

The role will involve:

  • Planning and marking across all key stages
  • A strong understanding of the UK Science curriculum
  • Upholding the school ethos and behaviour policies

What the client is looking for:

The headteacher is looking for a kind, approachable individual, who can show excellent organisational skills, be assertive, and must have a QTS. The school prioritises strong subject knowledge and a teacher that is a breath of fresh air. Someone who can engage their students in their learning but also push them to be the best they can be in and out of the classroom.
