The Role:
You will support the day-to-day running and long-term development of the school’s ICT systems across both curriculum and administrative functions. Duties include:
- Maintaining and supporting the school’s computer networks, servers, and user systems
- Providing first- and second-line technical support to staff and students
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Supporting the maintenance of electronic communication systems
- Managing peripheral devices (printers, projectors, AV equipment, etc.)
- Assisting in the development of new ICT solutions to meet evolving school needs
- Ensuring all ICT support activity complies with data protection, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations
- Occasional travel to nearby schools within the same Trust (mileage reimbursed)
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience in ICT support or technical maintenance (education sector preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office 365, networking, and troubleshooting
- Organised, methodical, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – able to support users at all levels
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a wider team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of service and professionalism
- Sensitive to the needs of students and staff in a school setting
- Full UK work eligibility – visa sponsorship is not available for this role
- Appointment subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.
