A specialist school in Taunton is looking for a SEND Learning Mentor to start ASAP until the end of the academic year on a fixed term contract. Pay rate is £110 - £120 per day. This is a small specialist school that strives to ensure that every student is supported and inspired to achieve through a specialist, safe and engaging learning environment. The pupils' needs range from autism, emotional and social difficulties, ADHD, and challenging behaviour ranging from ages 10 to 16. This school aims to make sure all students become well-rounded, confident, resilient young people, ready for their next step in learning and life.
The leadership team is looking for a highly skilled and specialist individual to be able to support each student in the best way possible. The curriculum is personalised to each student, varying from academic subjects and vocational subjects like photography and media to animal care. Patience and a caring approach would be essential in becoming a successful SEND mentor, as it allows the students to feel comfortable in their environment and meet their full potential.
