About the role:
Join our vibrant and forward-thinking learning community dedicated to students with diverse Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including SEMH, MLD, SLCN, and ASC pupils. We're seeking a full-time SEMH Learning Mentor to join us from after the Easter Holidays until the end of the academic year, with the view to go permanent in the new academic year.
At our academy, we believe in providing students with the opportunity to DISCOVER new learning experiences and opportunities. We're committed to guiding each pupil towards these opportunities, ensuring they enjoy an environment that optimizes their learning journey.
As a SEMH Learning Mentor, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering intervention programs to designated students referred by the SENCO/Year Leader.
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and Year Leaders.
- Assisting students in reintegrating into lessons.
- Creating and managing behaviour profiles to establish individual behaviour targets.
- Monitoring targets and communicating with teachers.
- Debriefing students following incidents.
