Full-time/Long-term position at a special secondary school for SEMH & ASD students providing general classroom support from 8:30am to 4:15pm.
The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant (TA) to join them ideally immediately. They focus on a range of special needs, primarily students with SEMH & ASD. The retention rate at the school is very high due to an incredibly tight-knit team, rewarding work, and the chance to make a real difference in these students' lives.
The role involves supporting across a range of different subjects, providing general classroom support as well as specific 1-1 work. A subject specialism may help as the school can prioritise you for those classes (subject dependent). The school requires TAs who are resilient, proactive, and confident in dealing with challenging behaviour. Experience working with secondary-aged students in a school setting is important.
