We are working closely with a brilliant special school based in Swindon that are looking for someone to join the team in leading pre-planned lessons across the Maths department till at least the Easter holidays. The school caters to secondary aged students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH) and other special needs (ASD, ADHD, Complex Needs). The role of Maths Cover Supervisor is full-time and requires someone who is confident in their Maths abilities.
The main responsibilities of the role are to lead pre-planned lessons of Maths up to GCSE level. You will be supported by TAs in the department as well as your department head. Due to the needs of the students, it is essential you feel confident in dealing with challenging behaviour and have worked with SEMH/Special Needs before. The school is open to a wide range of applications, including Unqualified Teachers or experienced TAs looking for a step up.
