Full-time KS1 Teacher position starting in Term 2 for a maternity cover. Paid to scale and available to Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

I am working with a two-form entry primary school that places creativity and fun at the forefront of their curriculum. The school has been transformed since the new headteacher joined in 2021, emphasising a culture where everyone feels valued and empowered to teach engaging lessons.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator who can bring energy and enthusiasm to each lesson. Children are encouraged to be involved in lessons, making their classroom an exciting place to be, with artwork and quotes chosen or created by them.

The current class teacher is due to go on maternity leave in mid-November, but the headteacher would like the new KS1 Teacher to start after the October half-term to allow for a phased handover. The contract will start through Long-term Teachers and then transition to a direct contract with the school in January, provided the role is going well.
