SEMH Teaching Assistant for a special school (Alternative provision) in a KS3 class, focusing on Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH). Immediate start preferred, with full-time availability being ideal. Flexible working applicants will be considered.

We are working on behalf of a fantastic Alternative Provision in Stroud that is looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to join the team as soon as possible. The school supports students who have been excluded from mainstream education, making the work vital and incredibly rewarding.

The role of Teaching Assistant revolves heavily around supporting the class teacher with whatever they need. Remaining proactive throughout the school day is crucial in supporting teachers. You will be supporting KS3 students who will regularly exhibit challenging behaviour, so experience in this area is a must. Experience working in a special school is preferred, but applications from candidates with a mainstream background will also be accepted.
