Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are seeking Teaching Assistants to join a wonderful 2 form entry Primary School in the BS24 area of Weston-Super-Mare. As a Teaching Assistant within this school, you will be working closely with the Class Teachers to support SEN pupils on a 1 to 1 basis and within small groups. This school is a place where everyone is part of the community. The school thrives to support the children but their families too.
The Role
The Head Teacher is looking for a resilient, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support classroom learning and children who require 1:1 support. You will be passionate about working with their children and ideally have SEND and EYFS experience. You will be expected to:
- Communicate with Class Teachers, SENCo and Parents.
- Build strong and trustworthy relationships.
- Put the pupil’s needs and interests first.
- Adapt activities to meet their needs to ensure they are able to access their learning.
