Have you got experience working with children? Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work closely with children in small groups and on a 1 to 1 basis. You will be working in a wonderful Primary School in South Gloucestershire. This school has been open for a number of years and has built a great reputation within the community. The school is warm and welcoming and is dedicated to providing an extraordinary education for their students.

The Role

This role is a full-time position to start ASAP, working Term Time only. You will be working closely with the Class Teacher to resource and adapt planning and support high quality teaching within all curriculum lessons. The Head Teacher is looking for a proactive, energetic and committed candidate who can inspire and engage children to be confident and independent learners.

You will be expected to:

  • Have previous experience of working with children.
  • Be adaptable with strategies and techniques to allow each child to access the curriculum.
  • Support the children on a social and emotional aspect.
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher to adapt activities to meet the needs and learning of each student.
