We're working on behalf of a special school based on the outskirts of North Bristol that is looking for a Learning Support Worker to join the team either at their primary or secondary site. The school looks after a very wide range of special needs and disabilities which include complex needs, ASD, SLD, PMLD, MLD, and SEMH. The school has incredible facilities and boasts a high retention rate with their staff, many of whom have been there for many years!
The role will involve mostly providing support in 1-1 capacities within small classes of students. The role requires naturally happy, patient, calm and committed people to apply. In terms of experience, the most important requirement is that you have good experience working with special needs and disabilities - whether this be in a school setting or not. The school has had many candidates from a support work background who have been a huge success there.
