We work closely with a wonderful Special school in the South Bristol area. They are looking for a teacher that is able to provide regular cover teaching support at the school where they will lead pre-planned lessons across different age groups and needs. This school looks after a wide range of special needs & disabilities which includes SLD, MLD, PMLD, ASD, Complex Needs & SEMH.
The Role
This role can either be full-time or part-time, ideally this would be someone available full-time but they are open to applications from strong part-time teachers. There is no planning & marking involved with this role, you will be leading pre-planned lessons. It's very important that you have experience working in a special school, ideally you would also hold a QTS but proficient experience teaching in a school will be considered.
You will be expected to:
- Be adaptable and flexible - this is essential
- Have experience of working with special needs & disabilities.
- Have confidence in leading groups of SEND students.
- Work in close proximity with the SENCO to continue to grow your skillset.
