Special school (ages 6 - 16) SpLD (dyslexia) and associated issues September start Able to teach GCSE Maths.
I'm working on behalf of a brilliant special school in South Bristol that are looking for a Maths teacher to join the school with an immediate start. The school look after students with a range of special needs which include ADHD, ASD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. The school have classes of around 10 students and are looking for someone that feels confident in leading Maths classes up to GCSE level. You will be ably supported by a couple of TA's in each of your classes.
The role:
The school are open to a range of different candidates, whether you're looking for a teaching role with all the responsibilities (i.e. planning & marking) or just wishing to lead pre-planned lessons (i.e. more of a supply role). A natural passion for Maths is a must, as well as feeling confident in leading classes of students with SEN. A natural confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour is preferred as well as being committed to improving the students' performance within Maths specifically.
