My leading mainstream client based in the City of Oxford is actively seeking a Head of Science to lead their science department from September 2025 on a full-time permanent basis. My client is seeking a passionate Science Teacher (of any science specialism), with extensive teaching experience. Previous departmental leadership experience is considered an asset. Full planning and marking responsibilities are expected for the delivery of lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5.

This school offers a well-resourced science department in which teachers deliver compelling and engaging lessons to their students. The school is deliberate in its hiring, bringing on teachers with excellent subject knowledge and an unwavering enthusiasm, even in challenging environments. This position offers a base salary on the main and upper teacher pay scales, dependent on the successful candidate’s pay scale point (£31,650 - £49,084), in addition to TLR 1.2.
