Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with experience working with SEND? I am currently working with a Primary School in the North Somerset area who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work mornings only, supporting classes and small groups of children with their Maths and English learning. This Primary School is a small 1 form entry village school who work in collaboration with the community and families. They are passionate about supporting each child individually with their learning, adapting environments and activities to help them succeed.

The Role

This opportunity is for someone with prior experience working with children or working with SEND. You will be working from 8:30 to 12:30 across Reception and KS1 classrooms where the support is needed. Offering guidance to children who need support with their educational needs but sometimes working with SEN children who may need additional support.

You will need to:

  • Have prior experience working with children
  • Have a good basic understanding of Maths and Literacy
  • Able to communicate with families and other members of staff
  • Effectively differentiate lessons to meet pupils’ needs.
  • Assess their abilities and development.
