A SEND Teaching Assistant is required for a special school catering to ASD, SLD, Complex Needs, PMLD, MLD & SEMH students. This is a full-time, long-term position from 8:30am to 3:15pm, with a ‘floating’ role that involves supporting across different classes. An immediate start is available.
This lovely special school looks after a wide range of special needs and disabilities for students aged 4-16. The work is incredibly rewarding but also fairly challenging, requiring individuals who are confident in dealing with challenging behaviour. You will be supported by staff throughout the school.
The Role: This position is interesting as it is a ‘floating’ role, meaning you will provide cover across the school in different classes. Flexibility and confidence in working with various special needs and disabilities, as well as different age groups, are essential. You will provide general classroom support and 1-1 support to specific students. Being easy to get on with and a good team player is crucial.
