A wonderful 2 form entry Primary School in a village in South Gloucestershire is looking for a HLTA with experience teaching throughout KS1 and/or KS2 classes. This Primary School provides a nurturing environment that enables children to grow academically, as well as socially, emotionally and spiritually. This is an extremely popular, caring and inclusive school who recognise and celebrate the uniqueness of every child.

The Head Teacher is looking for a flexible candidate who has experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and has a proven ability to support pupils and communicate effectively with Class Teachers and Parents. You will be expected to work closely with Class Teachers to understand planned lessons, areas of learning and individual children who may need additional support. You will be expected to cover PPA time 3 days a week, working across KS1 and KS2 classes.

You will be expected to:

  • Strong positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Have a positive and caring attitude.
  • Work collaboratively with Class Teachers.
  • Be flexible and encouraging when working with this pupil.
  • Be adaptable with the child’s learning environment.
  • Communicate and observe personal and learning development.
