The role of Learning Mentor is essential in these children's development in becoming young adults. You will be expected to provide individualised support to the students in their educational and personal development. You will be supporting students across a range of different subjects, but it is not essential that you are a particular subject specialist. Due to the needs of the students, it is vital that you have worked with SEMH students before and feel confident in managing challenging behaviour. Experience with students who have complex ASD is a bonus!
