Special school for Social Emotional & Mental Health Needs (SEMH) in Gloucester is looking for a teacher to lead a KS1 class. The school caters to students with ASD, ADHD & SEMH aged 6-16. In the class of 8 students, you will be supported by 2 permanent TAs who know the students well. The school boasts top-of-the-range facilities and is growing in numbers.
The role requires someone who can confidently lead students with SEMH, manage challenging behaviour, and genuinely care for the students. Planning and marking will be expected, but adequate PPA time will be provided throughout the week. Ideally, you should have QTS, but the school is open to applications from unqualified teachers with excellent experience.
