Full-time/Permanent/Long-term position in a special school for Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH) starting in September in the Gloucester area.

We are working closely with a growing special school based in Gloucester that is in need of a 1to1 Tutor to teach a boy in Year 5 with SEMH. The school currently has 2 sites in Gloucester but will be moving to a site in the Slimbridge area next year, so being flexible with these locations is essential (i.e. can drive).

The role involves supporting a student in Year 5 who has severe anxiety, requiring assistance away from other students, with the hope of eventually reintegrating into normal school life. Much of the lesson planning will be provided by departments, but you will be expected to lead these lessons and have a good understanding of the primary curriculum model. Experience of working with SEMH is essential, although QTS is not necessarily required.
