We work closely with a fantastic special school in South Bristol that is looking for new Full-time SEND Teaching Assistants to join the school from September. The school looks after a wide range of special needs and disabilities, which will often be complex needs, so experience in this area is essential.
The role: As there are a few gaps at the school currently, which class you will be supporting in is not set in stone, so it will very much depend on your experience and where you best fit! The role will mostly be providing general classroom support as well as 1-1 support where required. The classroom teachers look to their TAs for any additional support, consistency and proactiveness - proactiveness is the most important trait they require in a special school.
