We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with complex needs in a welcoming primary school in Evesham.
About the Role
This is a long-term position working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support for a child with complex needs, which may include communication difficulties, sensory processing differences, medical needs, and social, emotional and behavioural challenges.
The role will involve:
- Supporting learning and development through personalised strategies.
- Implementing structured routines to provide consistency and reassurance.
- Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour management.
- Providing support with communication, interaction, and sensory needs.
- Liaising with external professionals (where required) to follow support plans.
- Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment at all times.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for individuals with proven experience supporting children with complex SEND/SEMH needs, ideally in a school or care-based setting. The right candidate will bring patience, resilience, and creativity to the role.
Essential qualities include:
- Experience working with children with complex needs (communication, sensory, medical, or behavioural).
