Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are working closely with a Special school in the Devizes area. They are seeking a Learning Support Worker to work on a full-time basis in a KS2 class of complex needs. This fantastic school looks after a wide range of special needs and disabilities including ASD, Complex Needs, SLD, MLD and PMLD. They are based in a beautiful location and boast top of the range facilities.

The Role

This role is a full-time position, where the successful candidate will be expected to work as a Learning Support Worker supporting a KS2 class of complex needs students. The role would be a mixture of 1-1 work and general classroom support. You will work in collaboration with the SENCO and Class Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing and fun classroom environment.

Due to the needs of the students, it is essential that you have experience working with complex special needs in some capacity. You will be expected to:

  • Be adaptable and flexible around the needs of the pupils.
  • Have good experience of working with complex needs.
  • Work positively with other members of staff.
  • Be flexible, creative, adaptable, patient and positive.
